Base oil, its main component is linoleic acid, and it is rich in various vitamins and other nutrients. Because pure essential oils are very irritating and can cause damage when rubbed directly on the skin, essential oils must be diluted before use on the skin. The base oil has high nutritional value and a good curative effect. At the same time, it is mild in nature and easily absorbed by the human body. Therefore, it is selected as the medium for diluting essential oils in aromatherapy. Of course, the base oil can also be used alone, can be used as an oil for skincare, and is also a base oil for making massage oil. With it, the body can generate heat. It is an excellent source of protein, and plant base oils can be used to dilute essential oils.

 

Introduction of several common base oils:

  • Sweet Almond Oil

- Ingredients: Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, E, protein, fatty acid

- Features: light yellow, very light, lubricious but very refreshing, it is a neutral and non-greasy base oil. The mildest base oil, with good skin affinity, can be used even for the most delicate babies. Contains high nutrient properties, is a good moisturizing and blending oil. Suitable for babies, dry, wrinkled, acne, and sensitive skin.


  • Wheat germ Oil

- Ingredients: protein, pantothenic acid, vitamins A, D, E, B1, B2, B6, and minerals, such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, magnesium, etc. There are also unsaturated fatty acids, such as linoleic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, and lecithin.

- Features: light yellow, natural preservative. Regulate endocrine, protect skin cells, prevent stains, dark spots and pigmentation; antioxidant effect, reduce lipid peroxide production, promote skin moisturizing function, make skin moisturized; promote metabolism and skin renewal, anti-wrinkle, anti-wrinkle, anti-skin Ageing.


  • Jojoba Oil

- Ingredients: minerals, vitamins, protein, collagen-like protein, vegetable wax.

- Features: yellow, extracted from jojoba beans, very moisturizing, without any taste, and the oil is lighter and smoother, like the oil secreted by the fat glands, jojoba is a desert plant, such as Southern California, Arizona, Israel, Australia Produced in other places, it has high stability, strong light resistance, high temperature and maintains the structure unchanged, and it is an oil that can be stored for a long time.


  • Grapeseed Oil

- Ingredients: trace mineral elements, vitamins B1, B3, B5, C, F, chlorophyll, fatty acids, fructose, glucose, minerals, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, and grape polyphenols. Contains linolenic acid, which is necessary for the human body but cannot be synthesized by itself.

- Features: light yellow or light green, tasteless; meticulous, refreshing, and not greasy, the largest producer is in China. The most easily absorbed base oil, suitable for oily skin, the most common base oil for body massage. Grapeseed oil has a dual effect on the skin. On the one hand, it can promote the formation of moderate cross-linking of collagen. On the other hand, as an effective free radical scavenger, it can prevent the skin from "excessive cross-linking" and thus prevent it. The appearance of skin wrinkles and vesicles keeps the skin soft and smooth.


  • Avocado Oil

- Ingredients: minerals, protein, vitamin A, B1.B2.D, E, and lecithin

- Features: Sweet and fruity aroma, with an oily and fruity taste, heavier taste, and greenish color, not suitable for single-use, mainly produced in the equatorial region of America. Avocado oil, also known as avocado oil, is extracted from dried fruits by pressing method. It is a base oil with high nutritional value. The moisturizing oil properties are very suitable for dry skin. It is not recommended to use it alone, it can be mixed with jojoba oil at a ratio of 10-50%. Especially for extremely dry skin, because it contains higher vitamin D than eggs, it is suitable for dry, fragile, sun-dried, and swollen skin, increasing skin elasticity, dehydration and lack of elasticity, and promoting hair growth.


  • Olive Oil

- Ingredients: unsaturated fatty acid, protein, vitamin E

- Features: Light yellow, mild, and not irritating, but with some bitterness, the best quality is the variety grown along the Mediterranean coast. Partially oily, suitable for dry skin. It can activate cell regeneration and restore skin radiance. Olive oil is rich in squalene and essential fatty acids with excellent skin affinity. It is absorbed quickly and effectively maintains skin elasticity and moisturizing. Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and vitamins E, K, A, D, etc. Phenolic antioxidants can eliminate facial wrinkles, prevent skin aging, have skincare, hair care, and prevention and treatment of hand and foot cracks.   • Marula Oil

- Ingredients: unsaturated fatty acid, saturated fatty acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, arachidonic acid, vitamin E, sterols, flavonoids, proanthocyanidins, gallic acid tannins, and catechins

- Features: Marula fruit is rich in vitamin C (4 times more than oranges). The extracted oil of the seeds is rich in antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids to help rebuild the skin’s natural barrier. The antioxidants are 10 times deeper than that of olive oil. Effectively replenish skin moisture, nourish, and renew skin texture. It can strengthen the skin's resistance. The high concentration of oleic acid and fatty acids can enhance the moisturizing effect, tighten the skin's moisture and then moisturize the skin, and repair skin tissue scars. It can provide help for dry skin and sensitive skin. Its excellent antioxidant capacity can prevent and slow down the loss of skin moisture and help rebuild damaged skin. Marula can be used alone or mixed with other base oils in a certain proportion to make facial oils or massage oils. It also has a very good effect when used to make creams.

- Oily skin: sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, marula oil

- Dry skin: avocado oil, wheat germ oil, olive oil, marula oil

- Sensitive skin: sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, marula oil

- Aging skin: wheat germ oil, olive oil, marula oil

- Wrinkled skin: Avocado oil, Marula oil
