Have you ever watched Liziqi’s videos? There is one about making hydrosol.

If you haven’t, why not take a look at this YouTube video first?

As you may notice, in fact, the distiller used by liziqi is the one from our shop. If you are interested in having the same copper distiller, please visit:

Copper Distiller for Making Hydrosol and Essential Oil

I have to say that we are very envious of liziqi having such a large garden, full of fragrant flowers and plants.

It is very good if you have planted suitable plants in your home, just like Liziqi.

But if you need to buy it outside, please buy fresh flowers and don’t leave it for too long (not recommended to buy at the flower shop, I would say. Because fresh flowers that has not been sprayed with pesticides are the most ideal preparation material).

After harvesting the flowers, you need to rinse the flowers gently with water first, make sure that the material is clean and will not affect the hydrosol quality.

There is a part not shown in the video but it is important: need to make sure that the distiller set is clean and the container for hydrosol has disinfected.

Then we can start to distill the hydrosol.

Step 1: Place the copper partition into the distiller and the rubber gasket, add an appropriate amount of water;

Step 2: Put the cleaned petals in the upper part of the distiller;

Step 3: Put on the copper cover;

Step 4: Tighten the clamp;

Step 5: Connect the distiller boiler with the condensate bucket by the copper pipe;

Step 6: Setup the rest of the condensing equipment (water pipes, water pump, find a water container for the condensing water cycling);

Step 7: All is done and it is time to heat the distiller;

Step 8: Wait for about 15-20 minutes, collect the hydrosol in the prepared container

It should be noted that the prepared hydrosol needs to be stored in the refrigerator, especially in summer.

The above are the approximate steps of distilling hydrosol.
